The principle of operation
- Single-seat valves are controlled automatically by means of a one-way or double-acting pneumatic actuator due to the supply of compressed air. The shaft moves the valve to the "open" or "closed" position.
- The rotation of the pneumatic cylinder with a single-acting 180° drive allows you to have a normally open or normally closed valve.

The Alfa Laval Unique SSV single-seat reverse valve meets the highest hygiene and safety requirements. Assembled on the basis of the well-proven Unique SSV platform, it provides many options for avoiding hydraulic shocks in cases where the pipeline does not allow closure against the flow of products using standard single-seat valves.
This is a pneumatic seat valve of hygienic and modular design, having a wide range of applications, for example, as a shut-off valve with two (2) or four (4) nozzles, or a switching valve having from three (3) to six (6) nozzles. The valve is remotely controlled by compressed air.
