Sirius 3RW30 devices have two-phase thyristor control, which ensures that the minimum operating current is maintained in all three phases and cuts off the negative component of the direct current.
Smooth voltage regulation using a softstarter eliminates the inevitable peak currents and torques in star-triangle starters.
Note: the installation of capacitive elements (reactive power compensators) is not allowed in the power circuit between thyristor soft starters and a controlled electric motor.
Distinctive features of Siemens Sirius 3RW30 soft starter devices
- A shunt contactor built into the device body: the probability of overheating of semiconductor elements /thyristors is reduced, heat losses are minimized, and the compactness of the device is ensured.
- Adjustable limitation of inrush current and torque: smoothing voltage dips, damping mechanical loads, reducing wear of mechanical components and increasing service intervals.
