The compact brazed Swep heat exchanger basically consists of a package of corrugated plates with closing sets of plates at the front and back. The set of closing plates consists of sealing plates, sealing rings and lid plates.
Various types of connections are used to connect Swep to the client's system. In the process of vacuum soldering, a solder joint is formed at each point of contact of the base material with the solder. The design of the plates is such that it creates two separate channels or circuits in the Swep heat exchanger.

The standard location of the connection holes is on the front side of the Swep heat exchanger. The connection type can be customized according to the specific requirements of the local market and the specific application. The closing plates are designed to hermetically separate the space between the lid plate and the outermost of the corrugated plates forming channels. The closing plates are also called the starting and ending plates.

In some Swep models, the closing plates are integrated with the cover plates. The number of cover plates depends on the Swep heat exchanger model, pressure range, etc. Some Swep heat exchangers have sealing rings to separate the space between the channel plate and the cover plate, others have a design in which sealing rings are integrated with the cover plate and the first/last channel plate.

The figure above shows the standard configuration of the plate package, but other options are possible. Note also that the directions of the so-called "Christmas trees" change when moving from each plate to the next.
