Outdoor thermostat
The standard range of ATN
Degree of protection IP 54
Thermostats regulate and control thermal processes. The devices of the standard ATN range are supplied in the form of a temperature controller (TR), a temperature control device (TW), a temperature control device (TB), a temperature control protection device (STW) and a temperature control protection device (STB).
Outdoor thermostats operate on the principle of liquid expansion, with a microswitch serving as an electrical switching element.
Switching function
Temperature control (TR) and temperature control (TB)
If the temperature on the sensor exceeds the set value, the microswitch mechanism is activated and the contact opens/closes. When the set value is reduced, the microswitch returns to its original position.
Blocking the re-activation of the temperature limiter (TV) and the temperature limiting protective device (STB)
If the temperature on the sensor exceeds the set value, the contact opens and the microswitch is mechanically locked. When the limit value is reduced by about 10% of the temperature range (about 15% when the limit value is set to >+350°C), the microswitch lock can be removed manually.
Application of temperature control protection device (STW) and temperature control protection device (STB)
STW temperature control protection device (STB) and STB temperature control protection device
When the measuring system is destroyed, including when the filling liquid evaporates, the pressure on the membrane drops and the contact opens.
When the sensor is cooled to a temperature not lower than -20 C, the contact also opens, and when the temperature drops below -20 C, the STB must be unlocked by pressing the re-on button.
The re-activation at STW (STB) occurs automatically.
